I know many people in Minnesota would like to believe the Yankees won the first  game because the Twins were tired. After all, it was a quick flight after an extra inning game that was phenomenal.  Even though that was considered a regular season game, it had all the flair of a World Series matchup. Every pitch and every hit becoming so crucial in the latter innings.

Back to the Twins and their task at hand on Wednesday:  Because they had to win to get in they had to throw almost every pitcher and almost had some guy with the last name Pitcher ( ok bad joke ) come in to throw a few. The point is they had to come into the series with a very tired staff. Even with that said, I really do not think the Twins could have matched up or will match up to the Yankees with 20 hours of sleep. Face it Twinkie fans no matter what you think, your team is no match for the Yankees.

If we just looked at a few of the position players, Yes you have Cuddyer and Mauer having nice years, but other than that what really matches up with players on the other side ? Pitching is also lopsided. I agree the Yankees have question marks in respsect to pitching, but as good as you may think the Twins are: Come on Carl Pavano as one of your best pitchers?

The bottom line is this should be three and done for the Yankees. To take a line from a very infamous radio sports personality in NY: " Lock It Up"- Yankees with the sweep!!!
