WOW! What would baseball have done ,last night if the game was 2-1 ? Would the Phillies be the first team to win b/c of rain or would they still be waiting to play the game right now ? The bottom line is no sporting event should be determined by weather so if that happened MLB would be the laughing stock of the world. In the regular season to end a game b/c of rain is one thing but during the playoff other rules must be in place to let the games go on. Baseball is wide open to that. As much as I do not like Buddy Boy Selig, he did the right thing on the final call but should that game have started ? I know we have no faith in the weather and the people who report it but this was a no brainer . I said before the game started that they should go top a delay and then call it by 10 PM with the notion they would play on Tuesday. If Tuesday came and rain was still happening and there was no way to play then the series schedule would be changed allowiing both teams to get their travel time if game 6 or 7 happens.
Either way you look at it we are looking at maybe a game today or tomorrow anyway. Oh well, we will jsut have to wait and see what the outcome will be. As of now it is 2-2 in the 6th. Maybe by the time they start up again it will snow. So much for baseball in October!!!
Well folks, tonight is my fantasy basketball draft and I am ready to go. My only concern is falling asleep in the late rounds. The draft is set for ten and I pre-ranked a little just in case I do fall asleep at the wheel or get so overwhelmed I need help from my pc. Either way I am happy and I will be getting some more help from Fantasy guy Tony Cincotta once I pick my teams.
I know it is really easy to say that you want a Lebron James or even maybe a Greg Oden, Kobe Bryant, Soudamire, blah blah blah. I am going into the draft looking for guys who can give me what my drafts needs. Guy who can give me 3 pointers and assists and things like that. I am not going to worry like Tony said just on the point scorers. Many names come to mind when I think that way. Oh well, we will just have to wait and see.
The details for my Fantasy Sports endeavor is coming clearer each day. Tony Cincotta of Fantasy Pros 911 on Blog Talk Radio and many other Fantasy sites has teamed up to be my Fantasy Basketball mentor. In the next few weeks Tony will be coming on my show to discuss my picks, what kind of league I should join, and more. If anyone is interested in joining the league with please send me an email and I will tell you which league I intened to join. This should be a fun time for me as I venture out into an area I am not familiar with. The good news is I have a good guy helping me out. Thanks Mr. Cincotta!
